Background |
| |
|
|
With
the refocusing of teams from "individual brands" into "groups
of brands" the need for people to change their scope of thinking
and work together across the former boundaries of their brands became
critical to the success of the new structure.

Project Objectives |
| |
|
|
Individual team development programmes have been designed in order
to address the following key objectives :
- To continue the team-building process.
- To provide the team with an opportunity to review how it works
together, in order that it could improve its teamwork practices,
performance and contribution.
- To discuss and agree the team's new role, remit and accountabilities.
- To discuss and agree the team's key performance expectations.
- To discuss and agree individuals' 'expectations' of one another,
i.e.
- Team Leader of Team Members
- Team Members of Team Leader
- Team Members of Team Members
- To get to know one another even better, and have some fun together.

Project
Outcomes |
| |
|
|
The investment in this 'development intervention' assisted both
teams and individuals to address and move forward in a number of
key areas :
- A more open and trusting set of relationships where issues are
raised and resolved quickly.
- A set of "team guidelines" that remind team members
of the agreed acceptable and unacceptable behaviours and values.
- Agree clear 'short and medium term' priorities and requirements.
- Further knowledge and 'insights' into each team members
career / project experience, personal team-working contributions
and skills.
- Agreed 'expectations' of one another in terms of roles, responsibilities
and deliverables.
- Agreed ways of working the new structure.
The programme design was a balance of practical, outdoor projects,
activities and business related planning sessions. 1 to 1 pre-programme
interviews enabled this balance and appropriate content to be achieved
accurately with adjustments during the event.
